I like the summer slump promotion idea too! Actually anytime is a good time for a promotion. Always thought we should take a page out of the retailer's marketing book on that they've got the promotional calendar thing down.

Thanks for your comments, ladies. I already feel the slump coming business-wise. Luckily I've got enough in my personal life (like moving) to keep me occupied!

I totally agree with you and Cindy. Getting out of the house is so important, especially in the summer. When you're feeling sorry for yourself being stuck inside, you're unlikely to get much done. Give yourself a break and then come back to your desk ready to go!

Thanks for the great tips! Love your tip on Hold a Promotion. I've had lots of success with offering a summer challenge to my customers - ask them to join along with me in accomplishing something specific during the summer months and then offering a little gift, bonus or discount if they accomplish it.

Get out of the house is right! Summertime is full of fun stuff to do, and if I'm sitting at home wishing I was out there instead of working I'm even less productive. It helps to take time off and just have some fun. Then I can get back into the groove without feeling deprived.
