When I am out with the girls and see somebody with a beard I often picture little umbrellas and flags sticking out of their beards. Like toothpicks with notes on the end that could be used for marketing. They could say things like "Oops, forgot the Gillette" or "I left my dress beard in my new Prada laptop bag". They could even advertise blogs and twitters. "See more of my beard at twitter.com/beardman" This isn't really marketing to a specific niche, because I think everybody will take notice of the beardvertising.
