BlogWorld 08 Was Amazing. Flat Out.
Written on September 23, 2008 by Susan Payton
I have so much to share with you about what I learned at BlogWorld. About Twitter. About Facebook. About networking. About bootie brokers. Right now I’m swamped under a pile of notes and backup work. But I’ll get to tell you everything so don’t you worry.
In the meantime here are the interviews I did of some amazing people.
Brian Solis of the PR firm Future Works talks about PR 2.0.
Darren Rowse of Problogger talks about his businesses and blogs.
Justin Levy of That’s Great PR! talks about how he promotes his business through his blog.
And since Epson sponsored us (thank you Epson and Barbara!) we decided to have a fun little contest. We played Where’s Wendy (Piersall). We tweeted clues on Twitter to BlogWorld attendees. Wendy was behind the lijit booth, and we cleverly decided MC Hammer was a good clue (2 Legit 2 Quit).
I sat waiting with my Flip camera for 40 minutes waiting for them to get the clue.
Here’s some of what went out on Twitter:

eMom: Congrats @chicshoppachick for finding me! You nabbed the new $300 Epson Artisan printer.
#epson #bwe08

ChicShoppaChick: Yay! I won! I won! I won! I’m so excited that I won the #epson printer here at #bwe08! I found @emom! Yeah, I rock.

eggmarketing: wendy has a printer 4 u. and hand sanitizer clue for wendy #epson #bwe08

eMom: Hint: I am a big fan of old school MC Hammer songs #epson #bwe08 1 day ago · Reply · View Tweet

Thank you for the post and the links Susan. It looks like you had as much fun as I did this weekend and worked just as hard. Great job landing all those interviews!
Can’t wait to see what else you have to say on the event.
Thanks for stopping by, Rick! It was by far the best experience I’ve had with conferences. Look forward to the next!
