Last year we made it over the five-year hump. Now we’re celebrating six years of Egg Marketing & Communications helping small businesses communicate better with their customers.

When I think back to that first birthday, I remember the complete sense of pride I had in having built a business and kept it going for an entire year! I get that same sense of pride every year. I’ve learned to take nothing for granted.
Then and Now
How we’ve changed from the early days. Back then, I hadn’t defined Egg’s niche. We (meaning “I”) were taking on anything we could find. I recall a lot of painful website meta tags, research reports and marketing plans, none of which we offer today. We were still taking peanuts for our work. We didn’t value what we did. And I certainly hadn’t learned the value of delegation.
Six years later, I haven’t mastered all the secrets of small business ownership, but I’m proud to say I’ve learned from my mistakes and found ways to streamline my business into a successful one. And I’m so proud of that!
What’s Next for Egg
In the last year, we’ve ebbed and flowed. At most, I had four writers working for me. Now I have one. Shouts out to Leah Singer, who’s worked with me just less than a year. She does a fantastic job with blogging and social media management!
So people ask me what’s next for Egg. That I don’t know. I’m enjoying letting the wind take us where it will. I’ve learned nothing is permanent (see previous paragraph about large writing team now defunct) and projects pop up in the most peculiar ways. One thing I do know: we’ll continue to provide awesome blog posts and stellar social media management for our clients!
Happy birthday to us!
