I Found My Niche!

I’ve long been looking for my niche in marketing and PR. It’s been hard: I help with social media, press releases, email marketing, copywriting…no one thing has made me stand out, nor did one area bring in enough bacon to foresake the rest. While I will continue to offer all these services through Egg Marketing & Public Relations, a conversation with Sparkplugging’s founder, Wendy Piersall, helped me hit the nail on the head.

I help bridge the gap between PR and bloggers.

I’ve talked on this subject a bit on this blog, but not in depth. Still, it’s what I pitch to 90% of my clients. I help them garner product reviews and giveaways on targeted blogs to help expand their reach.

That’s a niche, right??

And so I’ve decided to work on branding myself as this bridge between the two. The branding will involve writing articles, giving presentations, doing interviews, writing more blog posts…the list will be endless.

And to help me stay on task, I’ve decided to inaugurate every Friday as Branding Friday. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes peek at what I’m doing to brand myself and I’ll discuss ways you can brand yourself as an Eggspert in your field. Deal? Each week I’ll give myself a task to do in the upcoming week. I’ll report back the following Friday.

What do you think? Do you have questions I can answer about how your company can use bloggers as a media resource?

Thanks Wendy and Millionaire Success. Already it’s opening doors.

  4. Yeah, connecting clients to related bloggers can be very interesting. And as I noticed, if you build strong influence you can get very big results there. Wish you luck in that.

Brilliant! I just found this blog today, Susan, and I can’t tell you how excited I am to find articles that actually contribute something to those of us who are feeling our way through web-marketing and niche-finding, etc.

I have been so overwhelmed with information, trying to sift thru the useless and apply the useful. This series of articles and the fact that you’re sharing your experience is very very exciting to me! Just following you will help me to better understand what I’m doing, lol.

Thanks so much! Looking forward to reading much more!

  7. Hey Susan,
    Congrats!
It’s all about creating an image & you did it. But what i appreciate the most is the struggle behind it that gave you that platform & your niche.
