I don’t really remember how it started. I think I was just so darn happy to have made it to the one or two year mark with my marketing company, that I decided to send my clients gifts as a thank you for keeping me in business. The tradition grew from there.
I’ve sent egg shaped cookies. Flowers. Gift baskets. But this year? This year I’m really proud. Here’s what I sent my clients:
I know, right?? Cute as hell.
I have to give props to Paloma’s Nest for creating the eggs and custom stamp, as well as the perfect packaging, nest and all. Anyone can send a pen or notepad with a logo, but I feel confident mine is the only custom wooden egg in my clients’ offices.
Why I Do It
I like to show my appreciation to my clients. After all, without them, I’m just another writer with no work. So for both Egg’s birthday in June and Christmas, I send special thank you gifts to let them know we’re still thinking of them, even if it’s been months since we’ve worked together.
I think most people are pleasantly surprised to get a little treat in their mail. Who wouldn’t be? The tradition is one I love finding creative ways to execute, year after year.
